The Pepsi Paloma Experiment is a group of 4 talented musicians, Ahmad, Serafin, Froilan and Matt. Who would’ve known that an indie band will be emerging from Legazpi, Albay. The songs Liza, Spaceman and Pyrotechnics are part of Overtune Project’s Vol. 2.
We asked them several questions:
Overtune: How'd u chose The Pepsi Paloma Exp as your band name?
**we were actually just playing around with name combinations.and this sounded interesting.we plan to change it after one show but i guess the name stucked with the crowd that it was stupid to even consider changing it.it should also be noted that we write tragic loser anthems, we are into the 80's and and we do feel like sexy stars sometimes.there.we found a connection.
Overtune: Are all of you friends and if so how long have you known each other? 
**6years.as friends and as a band.Matt (drummer) though had just started pounding the skins for us a year ago.
Overtune : Who writes the songs?
**Ahmad(vocals) writes all the lyrics and most of the music then the band will jam over it.Serf(gtars) sometimes has a handful of riffs too that he would bring up and when something stuck, ahmad then will arrange and write a melody on top of it.
Overtune: What are some of your favorite bands? What bands did you grow up listening to?
**Ahmad is into Indiepop(the postal service,death cab for cutie,club 8 etc.) and britrock(the smiths, arctic monkeys,The beatles etc) but grew up listening to the 90's.
Serf is into virtouso shit(joe satriani,eric johnson etc.) and progressive rock bands(frank zappa,dream theater).but is totally inlove with John Mayer.
FroX is into the original Punk(the ramones,The Sex Pistols) and a couple of new wave bands too (OMD,The Cure etc.)
Matt is a big Fan of the 90's alternascene. he considers Foo Fighters the best band in the world.he haD a metal streak too eons ago for he's into sepultura.
--it should be noted that despite the eclectic taste of each member, it was the love for Oasis that serves to be their common ground.
Overtune: Do u have any future releases?
**we are included on an allbicolband compilation album under Rebolusyon Records,to be released nationwide this summer. we are currently recording three songs for the album.
watch out too, we will be playing in manila this feb22-23. Haven't got a sked though.
